AYU is a company that produces luxurious and responsible natural cosmetics. Behind AYU are the sisters from Espoo, Finland, Satu and Elina, for whom inner and outer well-being is a way of life. AYU was founded in 2018.

The journey to Bali’s rich nature, a paradise full of herbs and flowers, marked the beginning of AYU’s story. The idea was born in 2012, when biologist Satu was in Bali researching medicinal plants. Satu was impressed by the skin-care benefits of the plants, which sparked the inspiration to develop her own line of skincare products. Elina, a designer, is responsible for the product design and visual identity. Responsibility and sustainability have also been considered in the packaging design, without compromising on quality.

"We were inspired to combine the unique organic or wild herbs, flowers, and fruits that grow in Bali’s volcanic soil with the strong and resilient plants that grow during the Arctic night in Lapland, to create luxurious skin-care products.

The plants growing in volcanic soil are packed with the nutrients that the skin needs. On the other hand, the resilient plants from the Arctic region provide protection and endurance for the skin.

These plants are limited in availability, and we are truly proud of every jar of our handcrafted natural cosmetics.

Our products are 100% natural, handmade, and consist exclusively of ingredients that nurture and enhance the health of the skin.
